A nonprofit group formed to provide life-saving protective gear to canine officers gifted Jampy, a Missouri State Highway Patrol dog, with a vest that could save his life. Jampy is a three-and-a half-year-old member of the patrol and has a service track record to prove he is a valuable asset to the law enforcement agency. Donna Wilson from the group Going To The Dogs presented the $1,000 protective vest to Jampy in a news conference held on Tuesday, February 14 at Troop A Headquarters located at 504 SE Blue Parkway in Lee’s Summit. The vest was the first one the group has given to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
